I am so excited to introduce the newest items in the MarshMueller line: Reusable Snack and Sandwich Bags!
I did a ton of R + D over the summer in the hopes to launch them in my Fall Wholesale Catalog, and little did I know justhow much I would love these little things until my son started Kindergarten.
You guys.
So many baggies.
So. Many. Baggies.
He's a resistant eater (go ahead, Google-fu that term; it's different than a picky eater), so hot lunches are out, which means we have to pack lunches for him every day- not a big deal.
What's a big deal is that even if he remembers to save those little baggies and bring them home, do you think I feel like washing them?
Those Ziploc baggies?
NOPE.
But if I had spent a little more money for something I could throw into the washing machine, I wouldn't bat at eye.
They're machine washable, so feel free to throw these things in the washer AND the dryer, and you'll be good for lunchtime the next day. For real. Or if time is an issue, the interior can be hand washed with good 'ol soap and water and placed on your drying rack in your kitchen.
The liner is made from a food-safe polyurethane laminate (aka PUL), and it's free from the bad stuff like BPA, lead, and phthalates. Exterior is made from 100% pre-washed, high-quality cotton in my signature quirky prints. Win-win!
I did some research and made the sandwich size bag with velcro- but the sticky part of the velcro is sewn on the outside of the bag, so you don't have to get skeeved out by crumbs in the velcro (or maybe that's just me). The soft side of the velcro is sewn on the inner flap.
I polled a bunch of parents and determined the snack size bag should have a zipper, so it does. :) Both bags have a nifty loop strap so little hands can easily hang on to the bag while snacking, or it can be hung up for easy storage.
There's a handful of prints available, but if there's a pattern or motif you're hankering for, shoot me an email, and I'll make you some awesome reusable bags just for you.
Or if you've got a mad case of the Me Wantees, you can check out and buy from the assortment below:
Hey there, I'm Holly Marsh (Maker/Illustrator/Mama/Nerd), the force behind MarshMueller. I started the company in 2011 after getting frustrated with the ho-hum options in big box stores when creating my first son's woodland-animal-themed nursery. I hand-pick every fabric, thread color, and zipper, design my own sewing patterns, and moosh them all together to create rad products for parents and gift-givers in my Astoria, Oregon studio (aka MarshMueller Secret Labs).
