This was a post-election pet project that took far too long to do, but I'm so thrilled at how they turned out.

If you couldn't tell by now, I do a ton of sewing. While I don't tend to keep every single little product of waste when sewing (like teeny tiny scraps of fabric), I was keeping my empty thread spools. I had no idea why I was saving them, or what I was going to do with them, but I had been saving them over the years.

The empty spools are not the correct type of plastic to just throw into my mixed recycling bin, so they sat in a plastic tote until this Fall.

The election (or more post-election) was perfect for decompressing with my glue gun, binge-watching 30 Rock in my living room while I made up a ton of these cute little ornaments that were not only reusing my empty spools, but also scraps of fabric and batting.

I know it might be late to be posting these, but I wanted to wait until after crazy craft show season to post them, as I wasn't sure what my inventory levels were going to be, especially with a bunch of one-of-a-kind items. Plus, if I wasn't going to post about them now, the next appropriate time would be next year. I mean, come on.
