This gentle reminder was an idea that had been percolating in the ol' idea factory for an embarrassingly long time. Some ideas are just like that. It initially came up when I watched the documentary series "Abstract: The Art of Design," when I saw the dude who invented infinite scroll admit he HAS REGRETS.
From then, the idea of an actual gosh dang parchment scroll appeared...but then stalled from there. I'm glad I kept revisiting this idea, and once I heard the term "Scroll Hole" in a podcast named Internet People (RIP), everything else fell into place. I even lettered the lettering using a calligraphy nib!
While this Infinite Scroll is not made from parchment, it'll last longer, as it's made from waterproof vinyl, so it's great for water bottles, your phone case, or wherever is helpful to remind you to maybe set a timer before scrolling?
This sticker is perfect for:
- The person who *knows* they've lost 45 minutes to their phone and needs a visual reminder to be intentional about their timesucks
- The person who appreciates old-world calligraphy paired with extremely modern problems
- People who appreciate nerdy wordplay
